CAMPINAS, Brazil – Aviagen® Latin America's third webinar in the new series will take place on April 21. Led by Poultry Health Consultant and former Aviagen Vice President of Veterinary Services Dr. Gregorio Rosales, the webinar will focus on ways to control Marek’s Disease in breeders and broilers.
A highly contagious virus, Marek’s is one of the most common diseases to afflict chickens. Once infected, the bird has the disease for life. Through the years, the virus has evolved and acquired greater virulence, and has continued to be a global threat.
“Aviagen is committed to promoting bird health and welfare, along with the social sustainability of poultry producers. Therefore, controlling poultry disease is a top priority, as it strengthens both bird health and the businesses of Aviagen customers,” explained Andrés Parra, Sales and Technical Services manager for Aviagen in Colombia.
