CAMPINAS, Brazil – During the week of Nov. 30-Dec. 3, Mário Sérgio Assayag, Technical Support Manager, and Emilio Cura, Nutrition Specialist for Aviagen^® Latin America headed for Ecuador. Their mission was to engage with nearly 50 leaders from 8 poultry companies on ways to optimize the health and productivity of their flocks through the latest nutrition and feed formulation practices based on Aviagen’s Parent Stock (PS) nutrition specifications released this year.

Assayag presented an overview of the global broiler market and outlook through 2050, and discussed the need for a continual focus on flock health improvement and disease prevention. Likewise, Cura led conversations on the practical aspects of optimizing broiler nutrition for better cost efficiency and performance.

Taking place in Quito, Ecuador, and following COVID guidelines for the safety of participants, the meetings were organized by Aviagen Colombia, which delivers quality Ross^® 308 AP PS breeding stock to Ecuadorian producers.
